I just came back from a walk. Not too exciting? Well, THIS is: It's the first time since 12/27/08 (when I fell partway down the steps onto concrete and ripped up my ankle) that I took my "normal" walk around the neighborhood.
WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
I was beginning to think I'd never be able to again. But today it happened.
YAY!!!!!!!
I hope you're all doing great!!!!
So if you want you can see me succeed at it or flame out....LOL...
I'll be posting my NaNo installments on BLOGGER UNKNOWN's Site.
Starting...uh...uh...AAAAACCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKK........in 2 days!!!!!!!
Yikes!!
If you had to be trapped in a TV show for a month, which show would you choose?
For real? Can it have commercials? Reeses ones?
Then I'll take any episode of West Wing. No hesitation, no doubt. And I want a Cabinet post.
There's a chill in the air. Show us your favorite coat.
Submitted by jacolily.LOL...I'm sooooooo tempted to show you a picture of my tongue...
You're so sweet, you guys!
Thank you for your recent comments!
I'm going to try NaNo-ing this year (on RedBubble of all places!) so my time will be sucked up into the lame-excuse vortex once again.
Here's new good news:
This POEM that I wrote ("Compost") was featured on the RedBubble Featured Writing Homepage yesterday. Wow. Seriously big.
And this image ("What If It's Not a Mask?") was scooped up and given a tiny feature on INK today.
I'm stunned. Happy and stunned.
Anyway, until I can get to say thanks to each of you in person and visit, I wanted to give you big (((((((((thankyouhugs))))))))))
And here's a cat I got in an email:
Who would you most like to be stuck in an elevator with? Least like?
I don't use elevators for this very reason. GAH!!!!!
But, if I had to and were trapped, I hope it would be with someone who was carrying a case of Reeses Peanut Butter Cups (and who liked to SHARE).
I wouldn't want to be trapped with anyone, otherwise. Either they'd whine too much or I would. Either way...no.
Did you see this good news?
OK, so last time I was here I said I'd try to come back sooner and I did try but not hard enough.
And last time I was here I told you about the ad agency deal.
Well, how about this: They want to use the image in a WEB BANNER now! the campaign is EXPANDING!! Wooooohooooooooo!! I said yes.
And a poem of mine is part of this exhibition. They didn't want the art, just the poem. But that's still pretty cool. Here's the image and poem if you want to see.
I just finished a piece that includes THIS as a detail:
Well, the money arrived from the ad agency in Sweden. I guess that makes me a professional artist. WOOOHOOO!!!! A poor one....but a pro, nonetheless.
When the new Firefox came out I downloaded it and it was driving me crazy from the first click. It wouldn't CLOSE! Bah! So yesterday I found an old version and grabbed that. Safari is just yicky (in my opinion); even an old Firefox is better than a new Safari. And if none of that makes sense, don't worry...I think it's a Mac thing. But the good news is that my bookmarks popped back to life in the new-old Firefox, even though I totally trashed the old-new version. WOW! Magic!
I miss Vox. Which really means I miss YOU. HUGELY!!!!! I've got to figure out a way to come here more often.
After whining in my RedBubble journal about never selling a calendar, I sold one.*
That day. It pays to whine.
OK, I'm going to try to pop in and say Hi to everyone...*waves*
*Here's the CALENDAR I sold. And here's the cover:
OK…so I was in the produce aisle of the supermarket a few minutes ago and a guy came up to me with a paper cup and a big smile. He said he’d baptize me if I paid him $12 in pennies. I told him I appreciated the thought, but didn’t have an extra $12. He hiccuped and walked away.
Amazing.
